Books and games

In this article I will recommend to those who like to read (and those who have not yet tried) several works. For those for whom there are too many letters, here is a list of books and games with which they are associated.

Hearthstone, Magic the gathering, Gwent

Dark souls, Demon souls

Stalker and analogues

I won’t explain that https://gambleonscasino.co.uk/ books are incredibly useful, they develop the brain and, in general, make a man out of a monkey. The fact is that if in the 90s books were represented by classical literature, fantasy and genres familiar to all, then the development of the gaming industry affected all aspects of life, and books are no exception. New genres have appeared, and stories about new universes. Let’s say in the LitRPG genre the near (or not so) future is described, in which full immersion capsules used in games have already appeared. For the most part, the real world is superfluous, so the main character is either sentenced to a long stay in virtuality under an article, or died long ago, and his consciousness was digitized, or is disabled, who spends all his time in a capsule. And then the adventure begins for RPG fans, with a list of stats (very amateurish, but it will find its audience. But there are also simply very interesting genres, if you look closely at them you can discover the ears of various games. In the first (and maybe last) issue I will talk about three books.

Alexey Svadkovsky “Game of Chaos”

I’ll say right away – I was delighted with the universe that the author came up with. I won’t talk about the plot, but I’ll tell you a little about the gameplay (so be it). There is a huge universe known to us, and there are players. Thousands and tens of thousands of creatures participate in the “chaos game”, which consists of a set of levels. Players can teleport between the worlds available to them, which allows for many different possibilities. If you want to deal with a very cool magician, no one bothers you to take an analogue of the BFG from Doom from the developed world and shoot him from afar. Everything is a little more complicated, but so be it. Experience flows, the level rises, but the player’s main weapon is cards. Each player has a book in which he collects cards that are valuable to him. This could be a creature card that allows you to summon a defender or a riding pet for half an hour, it could be a spell card, or an armor card. Lots of options. It was this feature that attracted me so much. And a very nice writing language too.

Alexander Gikalo “Soul or Life”

All ideas are taken from Dark Souls, but the main character is in our world. The genre is usually called RealRPG – abilities from games appear in real life. The main character is an ordinary person who, at a certain moment, sees his interface, undergoes a short training and understands that he needs to level up, get souls, but not show it, because the state does not sleep, and a hunt may begin for valuable personnel. And there are either experiments or cooperation.
The action takes place both in our world and in others. From our world there are certain portals to places where heroes swing. There are also invasions of enemies into the world, from which many people were bombed in the game. You can read, and not only when you are completely bored.

Artem Kamenisty “Styx”

I have known this name for a long time, and I can say that there are no problems with imagination. This book is for stalker lovers. You go to the store for groceries, and then something incomprehensible happens – people in uniform start running through the streets and robbing stores, and after a while you can meet with different creatures. This is how the main character finds out what happened to him. It turns out that part of the city was transferred to “Styx” – a world in which it consists of large clusters, each of which at one time was teleported from the earth (copied). They are updated from time to time, and with a lot of luck, your double will survive and you can get to know him. I can’t explain it more clearly, you have to read. Stalker lovers will have everything they need – factions, artifacts, and much more. I liked it.

p.s. I don’t know if it’s possible to insert links to pirated libraries, so I won’t do it for now, but you can always write to me in a personal message 😉
